Special Events 

Humane Society of Sedona is hosting Kids and Kritters Camp. Children between the ages 7 & 11 will spent five days learning “about animal welfare and what it means to have compassion for animals” and playing with the shelter’s animals. July 27-Sept 28, Thursdays: 8-9am. Yappy Hour summer hours. A one-hour event on the beautiful green grass of the multi-use field at Posse Grounds Park in Sedona. City and Park rules require all dogs to be on a leash and to remain off the athletic fields, but during this event we get to bend those rules! Join us for monthly YOGA with cats at the Humane Society of Sedona! We have partnered with 7 Centers Yoga Studio just up the street to bring you Cat Yoga the 1st Thursday of each month. Classes will be a moderate pace and fun for everyone’s skill level! 4-5pm. Classes are $15/person, register in advance. There will be shelter cats, snuggles, exercise, music and lots of fun!


June 3, Saturday: Ninth Annual Woof Down Lunch presented by United Animal Friends at the downtown Prescott Courthouse Plaza from 10am-3pm. $20 ticket buys a picnic lunch from Crossroads Café, handcrafted pet bowl or 10 raffle tickets, and pet food samples for your furry friend. July 29, Saturday: Arizona Border Collie Rescue is hosting the 11th Annual Rescue Roundup at Wheeler Park in downtown Flagstaff from 9am-3pm. A variety of shelters and rescues are representing adoptable animals from all different breeds and ages. In addition, there’s a classic Mustang show in the parking lot with awards given out to the various categories of dogs and ponies!
